How is this different from a weather app?
A weather app shows you data. We show you what to do with it. We take the live weather and air quality, run them through 32 simple cards, and give you Yes, No or Wait, with one short reason.
So instead of "22°C, 78% humidity, partly cloudy", you get "Don't hang the washing: too humid, it'll come back damp."
Is it really free? What's the catch?
The 32 cards are free for everyone. No sign-in, no setup, no email. We show a few ads to keep the lights on.
Yes. 100% free. No sign-in, no setup, no email. We support the site with ads and affiliate links to relevant products (like air purifiers when air quality is poor).
Do I need to make an account?
No. Type your city and you're in. Anything you save is kept on your device, not on our servers.
Does it work where I live?
If you live in a town, suburb or city anywhere in 120+ countries: yes. We use global weather data and the rules work the same in tropical, temperate or cold places.
What languages does it support?
9 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese. Pick yours from the bottom of the page.
Where does the weather data come from?
From OpenWeatherMap, they pull from thousands of weather stations, satellites and balloons worldwide. We grab the current weather, the air quality, and the next 48 hours of forecasts every time you search.
How fresh is the data?
Live every time you search. If you leave the page open, it refreshes itself every 10 minutes. The 48-hour forecast strip updates with each search.
How do you measure air quality?
We use the air quality scale used by the US Environmental Protection Agency. It runs from 0 to 500:
0–50: Good, clean air
51–100: Okay for most people
101–150: Tougher for kids, older people, those with asthma
151+: Unhealthy, keep windows shut
We show it as Good, Moderate or Unhealthy so you don't have to memorise numbers.
How do you measure UV?
Honestly, we estimate it. Our weather data source doesn't include a direct UV reading on the free tier, so we work it out from the time of day, the cloud cover, and the season. It's right most of the time but not perfect, if you're very sun-sensitive, also check your local UV forecast.
How does the pollen card work?
It's an educated guess. There aren't many real pollen sensors out there, so we use weather signs that usually mean high pollen, warm, dry, breezy days with no rain. It's right most of the time but not as accurate as a local pollen service. If you have severe hay fever, double-check with your local allergy authority.
How accurate is the 48-hour forecast?
Pretty good for the next 12–18 hours. Less reliable for 24–48 hours, treat that as a guide, not a promise. Air quality forecasts aren't available on the free tier, so we estimate them as Moderate for future time slots.
How do you decide whether to open my windows?
Five things have to be okay: the air clean, the humidity not too high, the temperature comfortable, no rain, no snow. If even one isn't, you get a No and we tell you which one. Wait means it's borderline, open briefly and keep an eye on it.
How does the migraine card work?
Sudden drops in air pressure are a known migraine trigger. We compare today's reading to what's coming next. When the drop is big enough to bother people who get pressure-related migraines, we flag it. So you can take medication early. We also flag high pollen days, which can trigger headaches too.
Can I trust the UV card?
For everyday sun protection, yes. For medical decisions (light-sensitive skin conditions, post-surgery care) please check a dedicated UV service and your doctor.
Why does the laundry card say No when it looks sunny?
Sunshine isn't enough. If the air is too humid, your clothes won't dry, there's already too much water in the air. Laundry needs dry air and a little wind, not just sun.
Do you store my location?
No. Your location goes straight to our weather data source to fetch the conditions, and the answer comes back to your phone. We don't log it. We don't tie it to a profile. Saved cities live on your device, not our servers.
Do you use cookies or track me?
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site overall, like how many visitors come from a country or what device they use. It's anonymous. We don't use ad-tracking cookies and we don't sell data. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do saved cities work?
Tap the 📍 pin to save a city. They're saved on your device, not our servers. If you clear your browser, they go too. Save your home, your office, your parents' place, whatever helps you most.
