Open Window Today provides 32 home-related decision cards based on live weather, air quality, UV, and pollen data. We show Yes/No/Wait verdicts to help you decide daily home actions (opening windows, drying laundry, gardening, etc.).
The service is provided as a web app at openwindowtoday.com and as a Progressive Web App installable on your device.
2. Not Medical or Safety Advice
Pollen, UV, and migraine-related cards use weather-derived estimates, not live sensor data. For medically accurate readings, consult your local pollen authority or meteorological service.
3. Pricing
Open Window Today is free to use. All 32 cards are available to everyone without sign-in or payment. The site is supported by Google AdSense ads and Amazon affiliate links.
If you buy a product through one of our affiliate links, we may earn a small commission. The price you pay is the same either way.
4. No Account Needed
The site doesn't require sign-in. We don't ask for your email, name, or any personal information. Anything you save (cities, preferences) is stored in your browser's local storage on your device.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, automate, or bulk-query our service to resell the data
- Use the service for illegal purposes or to harm others
- Misuse the service in ways that disrupt other users
6. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Weather and air quality data comes from OpenWeatherMap and third-party sources. We don't guarantee accuracy, completeness, or real-time availability. Conditions can change rapidly. Use your own judgment for important decisions.
We are not liable for losses, damages, or harm arising from reliance on our data, including weather-dependent decisions about windows, laundry, gardening, health, or any other activity.
7. Intellectual Property
The Open Window Today name, logo, card designs, and verdict logic are the property of Open Window Today. You may share individual card results with attribution (the share button generates attributed images for this purpose).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Open Window Today and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Because the service is free, our maximum liability is limited to AUD $50.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service anytime by closing the page. We may block access for anyone abusing the service or violating these terms.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes will be handled by courts in Melbourne, Victoria.
